ADAI Design Exhibition, Best of Category - Student Book Design | 2021
These are three concept board book covers for Hans Christian Anderson's The Emperor's New Clothes. The designs are based on the icon, symbol, and index system and all related to the key word king. Each illustration was first painted in gouache before being polished in Photoshop. All the typography was made to resemble a blocky, paper-cut look that is bold and fun.
